This site is very popular among visitors and provides a fantastic insight into Yeats' life. County Sligo and music go hand in hand with festivals each year drawing thousands to the county. Sligo Live is the big music festival of the summer which showcases Irish folk, Roots and Indie music all in one festival. This year 2015 Sligo again hosts Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann broadcasting throughout the world showcasing the best of the best in Irish Traditional music. Yeats Day on June 13th is marked with a street party in O'Connell St. and if you are lucky enough you may even get to read your favourite Yeat's poem in Hargadons.
